A tragic incident occurred in Harda, Madhya Pradesh, where a fire broke out at a firecracker factory, resulting in 11 deaths and around 200+ injured. Rescue efforts are ongoing as authorities fear more people might be trapped.
A video has emerged showing the intense blasts at the factory. Filmed by bystanders on a nearby road, the footage captures multiple explosions followed by a massive fire.
The factory, located in the Bairagarh area on Magardha road, experienced several explosions, affecting commuters passing by.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and offered condolences to the families of the victims. He announced financial assistance of Rs. 2 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased and Rs. 50,000 to the injured from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held an emergency meeting with officials to coordinate relief efforts. Immediate medical treatment for the injured was prioritized, with ambulances dispatched to Harda and arrangements made with the Army for helicopters.
Following the tragedy, the Indore district collector issued an alert for the entire district. Inspections were conducted at fireworks factories, including Raou’s Bapu Kripa Fireworks, leading to the sealing of the factory due to safety concerns.
Intensive inspections were also carried out at fireworks warehouses in the Mahu area, resulting in the sealing of four warehouses belonging to Ravi Fireworks Suresh Ferwani Ambachandan, Farm Shyam Sundar Jaswani Ambachandan, Lakshmi Fireworks Industry Pro Naresh Balchandani Datoda, and Lakshmi Fireworks Pro. Jamnadas Balchandani.
