Innovative Aircraft and Sustainable Urban Mobility:
The main attraction of this initiative is the Joby Aviation S-4, an innovative aircraft that can comfortably accommodate four passengers and a pilot. The S-4 aircraft is powered by six propellers and four batteries, with a maximum range of 161 kilometers and a cruising speed of 321 kilometers per hour. Its vertical take-off and landing capability make it ideal for urban infrastructure.

Transformative Impact on Urban Transportation:
As part of the initiative, Joby has also partnered with Skyports to design, build, and operate four initial vertiport sites across Dubai, including Dubai International Airport (DXB), Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, and Dubai Downtown. Joby’s aircraft, designed to carry a pilot and four passengers at speeds of up to 200 miles per hour, is set to revolutionize urban transportation, with a journey from Dubai International Airport to Palm Jumeirah expected to take just 10 minutes, compared to 45 minutes by car.
Continued Advancements in Urban Air Mobility:
With its aircraft becoming the first electric air taxi to fly in New York City in November 2023, Joby continues to make strides in the urban air mobility market. The company, listed on the New York Stock Exchange, has raised over $2 billion in funding to date, including investments from Toyota, Delta Air Lines, SK Telecom, Uber, and Baillie Gifford.
