This is great news.
Our faith places a great deal of emphasis on the importance of the environment. But this is useless unless it is applied productively. Even more encouraging is that many religious leaders are taking up the mantle after so many years of staying clear of any movements involving social change.

Its a shame that Hindu Organisations in the UK are not taking up the Green Revolution seriously. They could easily sponsor and participate in Green Fairs , Festivals, Permaculture events and have their presence known while also promoting the Hindu view of living green and with mother nature. Temples could push forward recycling and hold seminars on permaculture , eco-co2 threat issues etc.. quite easily.
