Hindu soldiers lose battle
Three former Gurkha soldiers of the British Army, all of whom are Hindus, recently lost their High Court battle with the government over a pensions deal which they say has left them in severe poverty. Kumar Shrestha, Kamal Purja and Sambahadur Gurung said they had been treated unlawfully and unfairly. The case was the latest in a series of legal battles over the treatment and rights of Gurkha soldiers recruited from Nepal compared with native British soldiers …

This is exactly why a never buy a red Poppy, they remember British soliders but not the 2 million Indians that risked their lives under British rule to fight for the British.

The ruling is fit to be challenged in appeal. The discrimination against those who retired prior to 1st July 1997 is highly arbitrary, unreasonable and unjust. All retirees should be treated equally irrespective of the date of retirement. We hope that the counsels of the poor gurkhas would take up the matter in appeal and we wish them all success.

Once again we see discrimination. The soldiers should get what is right fully theirs. They have been a valuable asset to the British army for years. They take the same risks , so why not the same priviliges.

DISGRACEFUL.
I’ll bet politicians could have intervened but as usual have chosen to sit on their disgusting gravy train of freebies and gold plated pensions. A tiny fraction of that would have covered the costs needed for these older Gurkhas.

Gurkhas’ contribution during the 2nd World War is unprecedented. Gurkhas were always put in the front of every battle. They were sometimes used as bates to deliberately entice enemy reaction. Well known battle of Casino Royale could not have been won without Gurkhas in which some 2000 lost their lives. I am convinced Gurkhas would have received all the benefits if they were Christians. I have always maintained Christianity has always been a dishonest religion and their fight or promises for justice is always biased and laced with politics.
Gurkhas are a staunch Hindu martial race and Hindus all over the world should help them in their need. It is a duty of all Vaishyas to create employment for them and help them monetarily. I would suggest a fund established for their children’s education and their women given employment in our shops. They should be also given discounts on goods purchased in our shops. They are very honest and trustworthy people. Always remember their homeland Nepal was the only Hindu country in the world.

Vivek,
Thanks for updating us about the plight of Nepali settlers in Bhutan. Treatment of Nepalese by the Government of Bhutan is appalling and very opposite the teachings of Buddhism. King of Bhutan should be ashamed of his Government’s policy.
I think Hindus all over the world have been treated badly simply because Hindus do not have its own country with its own Government. Nepal was the country of Hindus but always lacked economic and military muscle power the reason being for too long it was a feudal system and India being a secular country did not help directly by establishing long term trade and political ties. In the meantime British Government / Church of England were cultivating friendship for the recruitment of the young in its Army. But Church of England had more sinister plan, to convert the young and destroy the Hindu monarchy of Nepal with the help of the Army.
In the murder of the King and his family one can easily detect the necessary ‘Military precision’. At this point we must remind ourselves, the C of E is an ‘Established Church’ and is part and parcel of the British Government. It should be interesting to find out who is training, supplying arms and financing the Naxalites and Mao fighters. It may be the Evangelical movement from America whose interest is to ultimately hand over Nepal as Christian country to USA to establish a missile base against China considered as anti religion and a real threat to democracy. The West will deal with Bhutan the same way.

Kumar Ji,
Thank You Sir for your analysis. Yes Church and Christianity with a mask of Maoism/communism is dividing Hindu society. We must always be relentlessly diffusing this message. Long Live Hindu Unity . Long Live Hindu India. Long Live Hindu Nepal.

Let me remind you that Hindus of Nepal had preserved Hinduism by defending it against Muslim Mugols and British Christians. Hindus are still launching insurgency to preserve Hindu State by taking guerilla war to the Maoist. With all due respect the Hindus of Nepal find it unbearable to see Hindu Nepal being secularized and are fighting for it while the RSS and BJP are not even appreciating it but are weakening Hindu cause (at least in Nepal) by supporting one language(Madheshi Hindi ) over another(Maithili,Bhojpuri, Nepali) just like Raj Thakaray.

R B Dixit,
I am not familiar with languages of Nepal. My uncle who was manager of one Indian bank may years ago always told me there are three, four dialects in Nepal but most popular was Gurkhali. He always appreciated the Hindu culture of the people. I think Nepal should be helped by all the Hindus from India and abroad in their difficult times. The Maoists and Naxalites are only pseudonyms for Christian organisations from America and Britain. They have been trained, armed and fed by foriegn agents who were also responsible for the murders of the Royal family. These agents ultimate aim is to Christianise Nepal and convert it to Americn missile base. They have played the same game in Nagaland, Mizoram and Arunachal. I agree Nepal should not acccept secularism. As it is happenning in India secularism is preventing direct help for the majority from the Government but is not preventing foriegn Governments directly helping Christian and Muslim minorities. With such monitary help these minorities are already expanding their land base and errecting Churches and Mosques everywhere. RSS and VHP should actively help and organise the Nepalese at ground level to elevate their standard of life through reforms and trade.

As a white, retired officer, I, and all others in a similar position with whom I have discussed this issue, agree wholeheartedly with the Gurkha’s stand. The governments stand is based on the fact that not a single member of the present government has ever served Queen and country but only themselves. Had they but served England as loyally as the Gurkhas have done, the country would be in a much better shape. If the pigs feeding at the trough were ever to let anyone join them, there would be less for them. Another factor in their decision and their, thankfully now reversed refusal to let them settle, is that the Gurkhas will not roll over and play dead when confronted with Muslim violence.
