Announcement: Help required for documentary
Dear readers,
Hindu Voice UK has recently been approached by a professional media team who are collecting research about cases where Hindus (or other minority religious groups) have been victimized in any way due to their religion, with the aim of producing a documentary.
They are eager to speak to anybody who has first hand experiences in this regards. It does not necessarily have to relate to violence, but can including cases of psychological intimidation and pressure, such as this.

“media team who are collecting research about cases where Hindus (or other minority religious groups) have been victimized in any way due to their religion, with the aim of producing a documentary.”
May be you ought to look into the BBC Asian Network radio and ask them why they snubbed the News of death of Maharishi Mahesh Yogi?
If the Asians cant inform asians of Asians News then who should?
This comes under media bias.
They have also been known to and proven to be biased towards HIndus over Diwali. They ingnore Diwali with minimum converage. But Muslim festival is covered with pomp and glory.
Perhapas thats not what you are looking for but I just thought Id mention it just incase you want to go and ask them?
Then theres an uproar about a Gandhi statue to be put up in Leicester.
The white community feel threatened and feel are being ignored.
Try asking the Leicester City Council or Keith Vaz as to whats going on.
Sorry these are not personal but community level problems.
Nevertheless they are problems for the Hindus.

I’m going to stick my neck out here and predict that this will become a thinly diguised forum for muslims to whine about the harshness of the world.
After all, nothing says ‘misunderstood’ like having people misinterpret your motives after you’ve blown up fifty odd people on the tube.

It should be no mystery that the Hindu religion is being totally denigrated. Simply look at the misuse of many sacred Sanskrit/Hindu terms such as: Yoga, Aryan, Swastika, Ayurveda, Kundalini, Mantra, Karma and Avatar, to name a few. Take a poll, ask what is the meaning of these terms. Amazingly, typical answers are: exercise, race, evil symbol, new-age alternative medicine and other “stuff” and an online image, respectively.
Here are the Classical Yoga Hindu Academy (Dharma Yoga Ashram) we receive calls weekly from those interested in taking “yoga.” When we inform then that they would be studying the Hindu religion (and Hatha Yoga and other Hindu/Yogas), they react in the following ways, for example: “Yoga has nothing to do with religion and certainly not Hinduism!” “I have taken yoga before and nothing was ever said of it being religious or Hindu.” “I am a yoga teacher, and I am not a Hindu.” “You are wrong.” “You are lame.” Why don’t you get a life?” “This is America.”
All this non-sense is actually due to “closet Hindus” who, also, misuse the word “yoga” and actually train non-Hindus to be “yoga teachers” who then enter into the “yoga business!” These swamis, etc., must realize they are hurting Hindu Dharma. These teachers need to clearly present Hindu Dharma and its various Yogas such as Hatha Yoga or Yogasana (the proper titles). The first mission of these Hindu teachers should be to bring anyone who desires to teach any aspect of Hinduism/Yoga into Hinduism.
While we are at it, Hindu teachers also need to realize the “obvious;” i.e., they are teaching Hinduism not Christianity, etc. There is no “God,” “Lord” or “Monotheism” in Hindu Dharma.

Swami Param: Why do you call yourself Swami. Are you about to set up a Guru-Business in California?
You said, ” There is no “God,” “Lord” or “Monotheism” in Hindu Dharma”
Prove it.

A.Moron-
Swami Param is trying to spread the idea that yoga is tied to Sanatana Dharma. Yoga is tied to Hinduism. He’s doing good work. Is there any need to bait him?

How to respond to A. Moron?

Keshav:
” Yoga is tied to Hinduism”
If you go to any Christian Church book shop you can see books saying
” Do not practice Yuga, it is a part of the Monster religion Hinduism; Krishana and Buddhas were devils”
Swami(?) Garam Masala is saying the same.
Swami Garam Masala has not yet proved that ” There is no “God,” “Lord” or “Monotheism” in Hindu Dharma”

Hindus definitely need to learn to work together and be willing to dialogue. We all must be willing to also admit when we hold a wrong view. Ask yourselves, for example, why are the Christians so successful? Christians are not afraid to say who they are.
Unfortunately, many Hindu are afraid to simply say “I am a Hindu.” Yet, there are other Hindus who go to the other extreme and claim that “everybody is a Hindu.” Those who make this claim further confuse the issue by stating that “Hinduism is not really a religion but a universal way” (thus laying the groundwork for conversion and perversion). These latter claims have led to what we have today; i.e., the total distortions of many (specific) Hindu terms and concepts (mentioned in the above March 30th comment).
There is obviously also a lot of confusion over what it means to be a Hindu. By this time in history, we should know who we are and what we believe! We need to dialogue. Again, many Hindus seem either not to care about their Dharma, or they feel threatened when confronted with a challange to what they know. Again, we all make mistakes. I, too, misused the Christians terms “God” and “Lord” but have learned that this is not a proper use for Hindus.

Of course, “Yoga is tied to Hinduism.” Yoga is Hinduism, and, of course, “God,” “Lord” and “Monotheism” are all Christian terms. It is quite amazing how, at this point in history, we have to state the obvious. Hindus are not Christians and vice versa.

Swami Param, you sit there preaching unity, until you can show all them Hindu’s who dont agree with unity what unity is all about And STOP where you said we aren’t proud of who we are, we’re more proud than CRISTIANS are!, they don’t maintain or fufil their religeous demands, however we do. We involve ourselves (especially us youths, this is important to take note of). Christians don’t fufil their religeous demands, their youth dont even go to the regular Sunday Church cermony! How dare you sit there and preach to us about how we don’t feel pride in being Hindu. To be honest, you sound like the dude who sat in the corner and said “I’m not Hindu!!”….
If you were proud of who you were, you wouldnt make us sound like we’re ashamed, maybe your forgetting what todays public has become like, I wouldnt be surpised if the odd Hindu or two HAD to lie to protect themselves, but NEVER come under the illusion we’re not proud of who we are!
Definition of Hindu, you cannot define Hindu, because none of our scriptures define what makes you a Hindu, the Bhagvad Gita doesnt, nor does the Vedic Scriptures, however, they all tell us how we should live our lives etc. God is the english version of Bhagvan. We all call our God Bhagvan, the English call their Bhagvan God. At the end of the day, both the words have the same meaning, weather it is said in Hindi or English.
Stop preaching crap about us scared about confrontation etc, where the hell have you been all this time? have you not seen the major confrontations, fights etc happening around London? Have you not heard “that indian beat that muslim, they was chatting sh** about Hindus” any time in your life? Have a good look at the socitey and the protection we provide our Dharma, then if your results come negative, by all means, insult us, but till the BACK OFF, we’re more proud than you can ever be!!

You see Swami Param - reading Sejal’s post you can witness first hand the spirit behind the reason as to why Hindu civilization has survived for thousands and thousands of years. Not because of moaners who don’t live in the real world - like (no offence) you.
