There once flowed the “Mother Ganga”
Legend says that this scorched land, this desert once used to be the most sacred of sacred rivers…Ganga they called it. Mother Ganga! She descended from the snowy peaks of the highest mountains of the Himalayas flowing the plain of India, nourishing the land, making it fertile. She was home to life found nowhere else on Earth, both plant and animal. She was the bloodstream of the land itself. It is said…

this is frightening, but not fantasy.
gangetic plain is one of the most heavily populated areas in the world and i can imagine the extreme strain imposed on the waters of Ganga.
if Ganga has to be saved, then it is up to the people to save the waters they hold sacred and also the govt to wake up.
if ganga dissappears, the fertile gangetic plain will look like the saraswati river area, dry/parched.

can you imagine holy mother ganga not there.
where is the govt. to protect it. this project to clean and maintain the ganges is mammoth. it is not the work of private organisations or individuals but the govt. it is a priceless treasure of the whole country

In my view , It is a duty of every son and Daughter to look after their mother , similarly every Hindu son and Daughter should do its best to protect Maa Ganga.
It is a treasure which we all have inherited from our Rishi’s , and it must remain intact .
