Review: Sunshine
Sunshine might sound like a cheesy title for a movie but when you see it on a poster it actually looks quite cool, not to mention very appropriate for the movie because sunshine is exactly what the heroes are fighting for in this new film by Danny Boyle, the director of Trainspotting and 28 Days Later.
Sometime in the not too distant future the sun is dying for whatever reasons and the only hope for all life on earth rest with the international crew of the spaceship Icarus II, whose mission it is to deliver a nuclear payload at the heart of the sun so as to jumpstart it.

I am deviating from the topic a bit here:
In every movie when the armagedon is coming, there will always be a religious nut who thinks that this is all divine and that the end of the world is imminent. But what they fail to realise is that the world we are talking about could only be a speck in relation to the vaast universe that we live in! While it may be an end for civilisation in this part of the cosmos, it does not mean that the enitrety is coming to an end and humans should learn to migrate to other planets and improve space travel. As this movie shows, making an atempt to solve the impeding problem is a viable solution.
