A correction is needed regarding the family name (title) Gandhi.
Indira Nehru was married and divorced (separated?) to Feroze Gandhi (No relation to Mahatma Gandhi), himself an Important Politician. Hence the Name and not the fanciful way that the author of the article described !

This is the type of attitude that has encouraged Hinduism (and Hindutva for that matter) being turned into a dirty word in the media and academic studies. Its a godsend for anti-Hindu/Hinduism groups (and individuals) to beat Hindus with.
I’ll be the first to admit that those organisations that you’ve mentioned will still be gunning for Hinduism regardless of Hindu Unity. But at least its one less thing they can use for ammunition.
Hindus and Hinduism have always managed to express their feelings and grievances eloquently and with respect throughout the ages (like Vivekananda and Aurobindo). Something which Hindu Unity never grasped. Instead it ended up de-crediting a lot of legitimate Hindu issues with its general tone and character in the eyes of many neutrals.
Oh and lets not forget that the eloquence (lack of), general sloppiness, lack of respect, of HU are at total odds with Hindu Dharma. Unfortunately Hindu Unity was always no better than a hate site.
Btw Gandhi is by FAR one of the least worst things that could have happened to Hindus.

There is a new Islamic phenomenon called “Taliban” They want to introduce Niazam-e-Mustafa in the Muslim world.i.e.Medieval type of Islam. The Hindutva Hindus are trying to become a mirror image of these Taliban and want to introduce Hinduism of the Vedic period. In the modern world neither concept is workable and they know it. The other thing is they cannot brook any opposition to their way of thinking and resort to all sort of abuses and political lies and character assiasination and so on. I have to say it was a good article thanks for pointing out what the nerhu gandhi family had done to the sikhs starting the anti sikh riots and operation blue star. As well most the ppl who support the rss i personally think are idiots their nothing but morans and cowards. I think a new party needs to be created in india a party that represents each religion and their opinions and fights for the ppl be it if their low castes high castes rich or poor sikh or hindu.
Any type of terrorism be it hindu or sikh terrorism is wrong period attacking inocent or defenceless ppl is wrong it takes a soilder and a lion to fight the actual enemy head on.

When people purporting to support Hindutva feel that with out them Hindutva wont move forward ,thenyou have a problem.Apparently the problem with HU is this,they may be sincere about Hindutva but they down the line have been thinking like a house lizard sticking up the ceiling which feels it is supporting the house (and not the other way around).Hinduism will support thousand movements ,which will be born,serve or not serve the purpose and will die,Hinduism will march on slow or fast as the time is.
lastly today TOI has an article where in the congress spokesman Abhishekh is speaking of taking interpol’s help in tracking Rohit Vyaasman,I feel the renewed vigour the congress has gained ,is may be because of this analysis.In a way it is good for Hindutva,since the case(Rahul Gandhi’s misdemeanour) will hit international mainstream press.

Excuse me Mr. Thakur, may I educate you that in no way remotely does the Hindutva movement come anywhere near to being a mirror image of the Islamic Taliban which is based on medievel terror and tunnel visioned mentality. As for Vedic Hinduism, thats the foundation that Sanatan Dharma is based on - what do you have against Ayurveda and Yoga? Both are part and parcel of Vedic Hinduism and still applicable to todays way of living.

I think the Hindutva Movement will have many organisation which will form and disband along the way. Some will be extreme, others will too timid. Overall, the Movement will balance things out. HU has its heart in the right place but is going about it the wrong way.
Rahul Gandhi was recently quoted in several articles to have said that the babri mosque would have never been demolished if he could help it. This gives you insight to where his beliefs and thoughs are. No true Hindu would make a comment like this!
There are however, many law obiding organisations which have Hindu interests at heart. They are working hard for the benefit of our people, but lack in man power and more importantly, funds. It is vital that we provide these organisations with our labour and funds without excuse. These will not only benefit our cause but also cause organisations like HU to either come into the main Hindu fold, or disband.

Sikh as I remember very well didn’t the RSS saved many sikhs during the 84 riots by the Congress morons.This is well documented and is one of the main reasons why the Akali Dal always joins in coalition with the BJP in Punjab.So where you getting your information from ? And whats wrong with Hindutva ? It only means Hinduness so whats wrong with that ? Is it a crime for a Hindu to be proud of being Hindu and also raise Hindu issues ? Dev hindu neibours hid sikhs in their homes during the riots but were does it say rss organised to come save sikhs, the punjab politics is way to corrupt and the akali’s are using the bjp to gain enought support to win in the punjab i actually liked amarjit singh thought he was corrupt he actually was doing good in the punjab and even spoke with sikhs who congress banned from india and fought to have their ban lifted listens to the people’s concerns and doesn’t take orders from anyone he gets what he want’s is his mentality.  I thought I was the only Hindu on the world with grieviences about our situations. Everyday I see the plight of Hindus worsening….Hindus being butchered…Hindus being ridiculed…Hindus being maligned and disrespected the world over. Im my own town and up and down the country im witness to apathy of Hindus……goria-fied Hindus….frustration surrounds me. RSS didn’t help any sikhs ever thats a lie unless you can show me a reference to prove this right, rss trying to destroy sikh history isn’t khalistani propaganda ppl in villages in india complain about this i was in india heard it from the ppl themselves, the khalistani’s raised this issue first yes but now the moderate sikhs agree with whats happining in the punjab with rss and the moderates don’t ever agree with the khalistanis unless its the real deal if you know the history between moderate and khalistani sikhs and the fights they have you would know its hard for moderate sikhs to agree with them so the issue is real.

I have read the various points and discussions here with intrest, and I have a few questions.
1. Hinduism embraces the Seikh religion, its preachings and its philosophies. Same goes with Buddhism too. I feel so sorry that our friend Sikh, who has expressed his thoughts here, feels that the Hindus want to attack the Seikhs. Pray, why do you think like that? Its JUST NOT TURE! I am a Hindu, and I go to the Gurudwara an bow to the Granthshahib, and my Seikh friends come to the temple and bow to Ram Bhagwaan. Personally speaking, I do not see Seikhism as being separate from Hinduism in the way our friend here describes it to be. I hope that you will reconsider, and perhaps readjust your thoughts.
2. Ive read the various points about the Gandhi family, and especially rahul Gandhi. Personally, I have no patience for Rahul, and I dont like him as a politician. The BURNING QUESTION however is: Is Rahul Gandhi a Hindu, or a Muslim? I know he has the red tilak on his head when he is out campaigning etc… but he is so anit-Hindu. Does anyone know for certain whether is is Hindu or Muslim? Feroz Gandhi was Muslim, and conterary to what someone has said here, Gandhi is not his real name, but an adopted name because he was Indira Ji’s husband and the nation would not have tolerated a Muslim name of the Indian Prime Minister. For that matter, was Sanjay Gandhi a Hindu? I rather suspect he was not, but I dont know.
3. As regards the point made by our friend Sikh regarding the RSS, admittedly I dont profess to know much about them, except to say that they do do a lot of good work, and if it was not for them, then India would not have produced some of the leaders in the BJP who have again done some good work in the past.

I have read the article written by Harish Bhatti, and out of sheer curirosity, went onto the Hinduunity.org to see what its all about. Harish has some valid points in his article however, I am not sure if all his analysis is entirely correct when he says:

There are millions of young Hindus & Seikhs who will agree with the the thoughts of Hinduunity, albeit in varying degrees of individual feeling.
Having read the rather damning article about the Rahul Gandhi rape allegation case, and accepting that politics is a dirty game, I rather feel that instead of teh Gandhi family getting angry/furious with this allegation, that the correct thing would have been for the investigation to be carried out unhindered by the police, supervised by an independent overseer and therefore away from political interference, rather then the Congree party having to suffer the accusations as stated, where people wonder if it is in fact true and Rahul is trying to cover up. I would suggest that the Gandhi family must come clean, and if indeed Rahul did rape in innocent girl, that he should face the consequences that any ohter rapist must face in India.
This is my opinion - and I dont see this as being ” wild ramblings of an irrelevant geriatric ” syndrome.
I wonder if other readers here will agree with me or not, but it would make interesting reading to see what you all think.

RSS is no good, their in the punjab changing around the guru granth sahib handing their own versions out this is whats frustarating the sikhs because this is a huge sin, i was in india a while back and heard from people in the punjab who are getting angry about this activity, when it comes to christian missionary’s as sikhs it would be hypocritical to ban them from the punjab because sikhism was spread the same way, now if all the want to do is preach the bible we can’t go put a gun to someones head and say no you can’t convert you have to stay sikh.
Pravin i don’t want to offend anyone but guru nanak said he is not a hindu nor a muslim, now for sikhs it feels like an attack because it feels like groups like the rss is trying to take are identity away.
Harish Duggirala khushwant singh preaches the same stuff the rss does he may or may not like them but he has conterdicted him self in many ways. He believes that sikhism is a military wing of hinduism thats what the rss is trying to preach and that is wrong sikhism preaches to protect the inocent be it hindu sikh muslim buddist anyone. Dev…….im not a geriatric by any means……im a 22 year old graduate from the UK who does, as Pravin suggests, have some thoughts which align with those proposed by the Hinduunity website. Sure, some of their rhetoric is simply empty…and many or their suggestions are more than far flung…BUT these are the “ramblings” of people who are at the end of their tethers. Hinduism is being attacked from all angles each and every day. Our people are being humilated left right and centre, and to complicate things, us Hindus are our own worst enemies.
So whats the result of such a situation?..the result is ultra hardcore Hindu nationalists. BUT…so what?…ALL major religions/societies have thse elements in them…..its our usual apologist Hindu minds which deride the mere semblence of militancy.
Not EVERY thing they talk about, everything they write about is crap…much of it makes an interesting read and at the very least sets a fire in the belly to burn.
I dont often visit the website…and to be honest much of their views I dont agree with….but hey, I can pick and choose what I want to read…and for that purpose I have found it imformative at times.

I dont know much about the RSS to whom you make strong referecne, but Sikh, dont forget that the Hindu & the Seik is the oldest alliance in India whereby we exchange our sons & daughters with each other in holy matrimony. I hope you will see the point I make?

If RSS was so against Sikhs then why did the Sikh vote go to a party supported by RSS in Delhi elections after 1984?
I know K.Singh talks a lot of nonsense but he does hate the RSS whether you like it or not and he will not credit RSS with something good if he knew it was a total lie.

Dude harish duggirala i don’t know who sikhs voted for in delhi but ill take your word for it but it comes down to picking the lesser of two evils it doesn’t mean rss saved sikkhs but after the riots i doubt the sikhs in congress in 84 wanted to vote congress. I didn’t even know rss had their own party in delhi thats something new i heard but if they do thats why they got votes.
Trust me sikhs have alot of hate for rss what hindus think of khalistanis is what sikhs think of rss
Rss didn’t save us never heard any witness accounts of it, The people who saved sikhs were their hindu neibours and friends and co workers not the rss,

Pravin…….Sikhs have gallantly faught for India/Punjab/Sikhi/others too…..but to say they are the defenders/protectors and keepers of India?….um you do realise that Sikhism is only like 500ish years old..and that the more militant aspect of Sikhism came about formally with the formation of the Khalsa 300 years agoish……prior to this period AND DURING this period, Hindus have faught admirably!…..India itself is a warrior nation that was world renowned for its vast strong armies…and gallant warriors.

actually if you read my other posts, you would know tht i think rss r arse lickers of sikhs and the whole top brass is made of such losers, so i don’t support them, i don’t really care about sikhs, whether they are hindus or not or whatever, that’s upto you guys to decide.
but just cuz u ain’t heard of the chaddiwallah’s helping out sikhs don’t mean it didn’t happen, u still haven’t explained why k.singh a man who hates rss said such a thing about rss when he could just as easily have said that they also took part in 1984 (he does mention them as playing a main role in Gujarat riots), i really don’t care whether sikhs love rss or hate rss but i do care that accurate history is represented.

Sikh - no probs. mate. I must make it a point sometime to read up on RSS. Boy, you dont half dislike them! Keep an open mind though - from what little I know, they have done some good work too.
Db8 - sorry mate. I was by no means suggesting that we Hindus have not fought. I was making reference to the proportionate input by the Seikhs overall in the Indian military force, which is admirable by anyones estimates, and one in which the Seikhs can take pride. It is a pity, looking at the pressures being put on the Indians by the Muslims living India, that we appear to have lost the will to fight back, and seem to accept all the abuses thrown at us by Muslims in India with almost a ‘philosophical and a defeatist resignation of inevitability’.
I wish people like Db8, Sikh, Harish Duggirala, myself plus various others here could find a way of chatting to each other on a direct basis. Now wouldn’t that be so good?

Maybe modern neo-Sikhism is and Khalistanis are trying their best to promote that idea but unfortunately for them in these times you cant just make up stuff and getaway with it.The Sikh Panth did have its origins in Hinduism and that’s without any doubt unless you can provide me with fact based proof that Sikhism is an totally an original religion not at all has any Hindu influence.Even though if some Sikhs dont want to regard themselves as Hindus thats no problem but when they make up false history and lies even to extent of insulting Hindus and Hinduism then it is an issue.

I replied but my post got deleted but one man who changes sides each second isn’t really credible and ive seen documantry’s about eye witness acounts nothing was brought up about the rss the only hindus who came out to save them were their friends and neibours not no organisation. Many of their neibours also sold them out with the fear of also being killed.
You bring up rss saving sikhs what do you have to say about khalistanis and the khalistanis who saved inocent hindus from the more extremily brainwashed khalistanis whats your opinion on them.
