Racist attacks in Norwich
Indians immigrant workers who have recently moved to the eastern England town of Norwich for employment have recently encountered considerable physical and verbal abuse, so much so that they have been warned by the agencies that employ them not to go out after 8 pm!
Several Indian workers in the town said they were being verbally abused and attacked, and did not feel comfortable visiting many parts of town, particularly pubs.

Racist attacks in England ?
South Africa is a young democracy with a wicked racist past. Yet I am pleased to inform you that for the past 12 years of democracy there has been no major racial incident in this country. Yet we have young people going to work and live in England. Ironic !!!
Come on you Brits…both White and Indian , come and make your home in SA. We have the finest beaches,superb all year round weather , comfortable life style , breathtaking sceneries , modern cities (more so than English cities), excellent housing , a functioning multi party democracy , 2010 around the corner, excellent relationship with India and above all we have Mandela. Invest in SA, you will never regret it.

Response to Haribol. Like me you are simply naive. Off course they were Hindu. Why should the BBC give Sikhs and Hindus coverage? They are quiet,they mind their own business, they do not threathen,they’re not into suicide bombings hoping for a better life God knows where…..and they don’t have oil !!! They are so insignificant! Why should the BBC, the British govt or for that matter the Indian Govt care about these people? The govt is clever enough to realise which side of their bread is buttered or shall we say oiled ?

Racist Attack!
Its a bad thing, I must admit, but we have a problem, Hindu’s are Hindu’s, and like everyone says, Untied we stand divded we fall. Not always do i see one Hindu helping another in trouble. We have to sort it out!. Our young men got beaten up! Our peole are scred to go out! We cant let this go on!. I am a child. 13 years old, but i still say, We need to go out and face the world TOGETHER. This is a job that the Indian Goverment should be helping us in!. I doubt they even acknowldge this. I have seen alot more than i thought i would be able to see by the ge of 13. I read the papers, The Sun. It always says asian. Asian men set of bombs on train ect. How many British actually understand its not Hindu’s, it not Chinese or any other, its the Muslims. We have to get our own identitiy, We can got on taking this kind of abuse in our faces!.
Haribol you are right. How oftan do you see something like this in the newspapers? or on BBC news in the morning?. They wont put it on the news! they dont see the importance in this, but they see the importance of race hate TOWARDS british. Hindu’s shod fight for their own name, We cant take asain as our name. We will have to accept all this to be called asain. I would prefer our own name. I spoken my mind after so long. I hope this brings realisation to many people!.
I dont know how this could be done, but we need it. And im fully prepared to help in the bits im allowed to.

anyways, i am also a south asian, and a hindu, as well as a india, but at 1st i am a human, and think with human psycology…
after every terrorattack… you hear in news, south asian…. Baised news agencies like BBC are converting providing islamic terrorist (including in kashmir) a ground to hide… under the name south asian….
if we claim, that muslim let the terrorist hide in mosque…. then what we are doing? we are also allowing muslims terrorist to hide inside south asian tag!!

But we must act here and now-
to the children- the best thing to do is get an education and participate in the world with compassion - make it your job (did you know that to be a doctor, or an engineer, or a developer, or a teacher was a way to be a good person?)
to the adults - use you chosen lifestyle and work to be compassionate (do you know that a king that kills an evildoer is being compassionate -Arjuna)
to the gurus/ sanayasis… we need you out there teaching more.
to myself - keep strugglin in my daily life to personally defeat hate and socially to make the world better.

A) Get wrieless hub
B) Offer to do cooking whilst they watch TV.
C) Don’t cook complicated stuff. Cook boiled vegetables and something you can throw in the oven.

Utpal - no true Hindu wants to go to Indian as the India is not a true Hindu Country - as for Mansukh while SA may have some wonderful beeches I really don’t fancy heading off to country that has a city (jo-burg) that has a higher homocide rate than Bagdad …

Hindu’s should be acting as one community, where ever they are. This is also true for community defence. Every man should be able to defend himself, his family and community.
You have to use community power to fight for the rule of law and train yourself in self-defence.
