Interview: Damyanti Ladwa
Damyanti Ladwa has lived in a small town called Amesbury, a few minutes walk away from the famous Stonehenge, and together with her family are the only Hindus living in the town. She is an inspiring example about how a person can stand firm in their roots despite having no other Hindus living in the area in which she lives. Even more impressive is the way that she has reached out and engaged with the wider community to educate and inform them about Hindu culture.

Excellent Interview. We need more Hindu women like Damyanti to promote Hinduism in schools and other institutions. She’s setting a very good example of what all Hindus should really be doing instead of sitting aroung watching bollywood all day in their armchairs at home. She’s doing great work and is making all of us Hindus proud.

Inspirational example of how we as Hindus should be proud of our heritage and reach out and be witnesses to the people around us.
If we disowned our own heritage, we cannot possibly have confidence in our self. If we try to be who we are not, we have too much to hide. What a waste it would be to abandon 5000 years of Hindu civilization. So be proud of who we are and our culture.
Being part of a society also means giving of oneself to that society. In other words, volunteering our time to that community by getting involved. No one is too young or too poor to do that.
My heartious congratulations to Damyanti Ladwa.
