Suvarna Sinh I think Dr.Elst sympathises somewhat with the Arya Samaj, if you look at it from that perspective temple building was somewhat a late phenomenon, in the Vedic age there were no elaborate mandirs as we see today, life was centred more around the yagnas.

I too have a sister-in-law in Perth Scotland, she’s the only Indian there, the Scottish folks including her husband loves her and she plays an important part in her community.
Her temple is in her castle.
