Malaysia: tensions grow over Hindu temple demolitions
The destruction of Hindu temples by authorities in Malaysia is inflaming religious tensions in a country that was once been regarded as a model of religious and ethnic harmony.
Human rights groups and politicians say that anger is growing among the country’s minority Hindu community as temples, many of historic value, are bulldozed at the rate of at least one every few weeks to make way for new developments.

All the Hindu societies in Malaysia must get together first. To have common understanding of our problem and supported by our so called “representative” in Parliment. To do this “togetherness, we must “Market” our problem across the board. At this stage, 50% or more never use internet/email and messages are not crossed/receive by them and this could hinder our capacity to get bigger support.
My suggestion is ” Multi-Level Marketing” in spreading our needs and problem is a must and the basic principal in fulfilling any demand is thru.good memorandum and big crowd who are with us. Basically, every Hindus have “feelings” towards our religion but unfurtunately the messages are not reaching the other half of the society.
Main target of our marketing should emphasize on ” realization, togetherness, public spirited and our state in future with current problem. So, Marketing,Marketing and Marketing locally and internationally to get better support. Make the Hindus and Indians to realize/believe that “God is with us” nothing wrong in protecting our rights which is stated in the Comm.Of Reid ( Independance Memorandum) of every ethnics rights.
Thaipusam is created and followed by Hindu from all over the world with one common understanding “faith and belief” that Muruga is there to help us, think and think to make use of this faith to betterment of our future generations.

The problem of destroying Hindu Temples, has been going on from 1970s, with renewed severiety in the 1990s. The land authority and the local council seem to be the instruments used by the ‘’ government ‘’ in the most ugliest manner. The so called Indian reps. or indian rascals from MIC are also the main instruments used by the “government”. Take the eg. of mighty SHAH ALAM, from 1979-2007 tens of temples were mutilated and untill today not even one alternative site has been
given. There were 5 MBs and 5 MIC state excos during the period and nothing was done and the talks, lies, threats, bullying, bullsheets are still going on. What an achievement by PKNS, MBSA, and the SHEET govt.

Rajoo… it is sad to hear that Malaysia has the same problem with your “indian representatives” as we have in this country… put a wine reception or a tv camera and they will all come running, ask them to do stand up for Hindu rights and they suddenly all disappear…
but in the end i suppose we are too blame - we voted em in…
just imagine if we threatened them all with “withholding” our votes the next time..

Good to know that all the Hindus in the world are united to talk about this problem, I cant say much here because my anger has reached to the ultimate level now. First, stop voting to the indians who are in the government that runs under their wife’s skirt when there are problems in the indian community. Dato SAmy Velu, Bullshit, you are the traitor the whole community!! When theres temples demolished or to be demolished he supports the Government and say that the land belongs to the Council and the temple is illegal!, But he will say that all the indians are under his watch and he is the god father!! F*k Father!! Its going to be out of hand very soon and I m only hoping for one group to help us! LT* ! I know they are concern, and for now, what we going to do? Fight? Look at the people behind you! How many will stand by you when you fight? We need a solid coalition! A team that is sincere in supporting the indians in Malaysia, build the team and we can demand what we are righful of. Valghe Tamilan Valghe Indian!! MIC BULLSHIT!!

MIC is not doing anything for the Indians in Malaysia. Only taking care of their own people. Cheating Malaysian Indians. When temples are demolished by the authority, they not even speak up. Only make empty promises. Look at the Tamil school condition. Become worse to worst. Anyone against Samy Velu will be sacked from the party. They are the no 1 gangsters in Malaysia.

If the mandir is illegally made, there is no resort. More likely, the rules are applied selectively to minority groups than the muslim majority - a clear injustice. If mosque and mandir are brought down in a like wise fashion, that is justice.
On the other hand, and I don’t have an answer that’s easy: when does an individual fight back? when does a community take up arms?
These questions are eternal, the answers should also be eternal, but the application must be temporal. It is what the Gita is about, after all.
Certainly violence doesn’t always work and just as certainly non-violence doesn’t always work; and is what works worth it - or do we become the demons of the world?
Only the hindus in malaysia can answer this for their situation. But peaceful means should precede violent ones.
Does anyone have info about mosques that have been ordered to move but not moved? Is anyone trying to push this into the international press? Have students protested in the streets of Malaysia like the Monks in Burma?… Lots of questions.
A direct appeal to violence is too simplistic. We must support those in trouble, but support doesn’t mean supporting their destruction as a consequence of poorly executed strategy.

Its a pity that the Indian government ignores the plight of Indians living in Muslim Malaysia who treat their minorities with such contempt, and yet India pampers its Muslim minorities offering them equal right in a Hindu land. Why?
It begs a question - just what is wrong with the do gooder Indian government? Is it not time now to rethink its policies and treat its Muslim minorities in the same way as Malaysia, Pakistan & Bangladesh treat their Indian minorities?
Rough justice, but so be it.
If its right for these Islamic countries to treat their minorities with such brutality, then India should change its attitude towards its minorities.

The rough justice is not justice. It is an eye for an eye and though that is “fair” it is not justice. Hinduism is crippled by its dependence on India. It is the international hindus that can seek for justice: equal use of law for all equal situations, increase in individual freedom…. Unequal use of law is wrong wherever it happens: in suppressing minorities or giving them excessive control. The rule is modified by circumstances as in slavery, oppressive inheritance (caste or class) but the overriding principle is to increase egalitarianism - neither protection nor status quo are sufficient principles.
Thus the hindus all over the world demand a right to be seen as equals. Certain minorities do not sustain such justice but view “justice” as their advantage over others - this christo-islamic construct of truth and justice is very much perverted (but this thinking is not exclusive to these groups)
Regardless of the theoretical, I hope the Hindus in malaysia continue to fight for justice - the Gita teaches that we do not fight for justice for ourselves but for justice itself.
